Challenging a possibe theft

Hi Bloggers

Its time for another rant from yours truly.

Are we all to closed in that we are even ignorant of friends neighbours basically anybody.

The reason I was thinking this was I live in a modest cul de sac in a small ex mining village.

It is a pretty grove made up of elderly and some middle aged and approximately 2 young families.

Built around 1980 the Grove has a few houses but has more bungalows.

The main town around it is called Chesterton made up of a few large private estates and about 3 main council housing estates.

What the main reason for today rant is how people can become snobs and become ignorant of people around them.

After a failed marriage and then my own hard work I became in a position to hold savings, This helped with my leaving employment to care for my grandad in his own home.

Only my direct neighbours take the time of day to say hello with only one neighbour on one side who will only talk if they are after any gossip that could be going on in the street.

The rest are like a small group of ants that congregate together and gossip in a clan, If you say "Good morning" you get no reply and if you try to make conversation you get ignorance and the stuck up nose attitude.

A quick fore note to the main issue.

Old lady lived across the road about 3 doors down, Granddad used to take her shopping and go on the occasional coach trip.

In all the past years neither myself or granddad saw anyone much visit the old lady and on occasions she even said to my granddad that she never saw any family.

Well she passed away about 4 months ago and wow family from everywhere appeared to clear the house and get it on the market.

This morning 3 men in a car turned up with a car remover on the tow bar, 1 with a suit on who hung around by the bottom of the drive acting suspicious and the other 2 lads hurriedly went down the drive and hitched the car out of the garage onto the tow car.

The curtains in the street were a twitching with every one of the Ant Clan sneaking a peek out.

Me thinking I was doing the right thing thought I would polity go across and enquire as to who the people were and was everything above board.

I wish I had not bothered "I said hello" and explained my concern the answer very sharply "Its my Grandmothers house".

Not happy with this as a basic answer I politely asked if he could tell me his grandmothers name and his answer was right.

Now feck me for being bothered by this, Firstly i thought i was doing the right thing and that any normal person would.

I suppose its just my fault for being challenging Lol.

as for the rest of my wonderful neighbours I think that there view on me was that I moved in with my granddad to get his house and shove him in a home but I could not care less what people think any more.

I love my granddad and will stop at nothing to protect him I know in my own heart and mind the care he had at home and from me now.

As for the bulk of my neighbours if I saw someone now emptying there homes into a van I would not even bother to take the numberplate.

What ever happened to friendly neighbours your views folks

Steve
