Hi Bloggers
I contacted the county council requesting how the internal financial audit was going into grandads finances and guess what no returned call or contact, so patiently I left it a further few weeks and then contacted the nice lady at the council yet again.
Unfortunately she was in a meeting so I spoke at length to the gentleman on the phone regarding our concern that grandad may be left with no social worker again.
I also advised him that we still had serious concerns that the complaint manager had issued a letter stating that all his daily provisions were being financially provided by the county council over 2 years ago and that the home were making it clear at reviews that his daily need items at the home were being gathered together from other residents also that at no time had the county council provided any steridents or deodorant or daily need items.
The good news is that I have received an email from the county council which says that the financial audit is finished and the report is being wrote up.
I can only assume this will make interesting reading when it eventually may turn up.
The data protection act may be used again by the county council so maybe this might never see the light of day lol.
In further good news I received a further email yesterday, it was very short with a name of a new social worker on it,No contact telephone number so the family shall wait and see if we get contacted as requested.
And on to how things are progressing at the NHS trust.
It has been over 4 weeks since meeting with Mr Poynor CEO and after a good meeting and being left with a good positive impression of openness and accountability, progress is slow.
At the 3 week mark I have found out that there are "Governance Issues" with releasing grandads social care file.
This is where the trust feel that grandad has no capacity to consent although he gave consent prior to the capacity assessment a month later, we have had to unfortunately feed this back to the ICO.
4 weeks ago we provided the trust with a full accurate account in writing and with evidence of all the false and misleading comments, statements and defamatory remarks made by multiple social care professionals.
Our main concern being the validity of reporting around vulnerable adults and there families
Most people would say enough is enough and I have certainly wanted to just walk away from this but I can not as the weight and evidence of what we have witnessed is beyond acceptable.
False reporting around actions of staff
Lies, Defamation.
Vulnerable Adult investigation information not followed up or checked
Failed independent investigations that are not fit for purpose.
complete lack of transparency and openness.
Lack of accountability
Threatening conduct from county council tuped staff.
This is not a perfect world we live in but we all pay for these services, sometimes mistakes happen.
The above list are not mistakes but blatant actions of individuals.
Will Mr Poynor resolve this, I just do not know but for now I would like to believe that he can although my belief in openness and accountability is dwindling.
Going up to the home latter to catch up with grandad and natter about the war and good times.
Regards Steve
