Hi Bloggers
Well it has been a few days since I last updated you all on my life.
I have been a bit ill this week but I am feeling a little better now it must have been a bug lol.
The toils are still ongoing however on the interesting side the wonderful county council have penciled in a meeting for Wednesday of next week, After all the previous failed promises I am not holding my breath.
This meeting if it happens should finally provide me with the evidence that I have been asking for over many years.
In my heart I would like to see in this meeting that all financial matters concerning my late grandfather are accurate however I hold severe concern that this meeting may not provide any fluid explanations or evidence of expenditure.
It feels as if matters are drawing to a conclusion, the county council despite its delay process and minimal communication may be about to see that the only way forward is to be accountable and transparent.
The local NHS Trust who inherited this debacle and are at present responsible for the county councils failed investigation now have to answer for mistakes that they are not fully responsible for.
This is simply unfair the county council have allowed these failings to take place and taken no responsibility for its actions.
I know in the past this blog has also included the failings in care that my grandad suffered, and he did suffer.
No amount of apologies will ever make up for what he went through.
Grandad believed that if we learn from mistakes and say we are sorry we can move forward.
grandad would be pleased that this Trust is learning from its mistakes and with its committed board and CEO Mr Stewart Poynor things can and will go from strength to strength.
This is where the Stoke on Trent Partnership Trust has come good on its past failures.
I am glad to say despite past experience our NHS in this country has some way to go but at least it is a learning organization, looking to make cultural change.
I had lost faith in the NHS but have gained a new found respect and feel that I can agree with my grandads view that it is our best asset and I am proud that it is ours.
The county council is a completely different story lol they have shown nothing but contempt in its communications with myself and persist in a draconian process of delays and ignorance,
there appears to be no end to this.
how can it be possible for local government to act so recklessly and behave with such incompetency.
There is no place in our local government or NHS for those who fail in there duty of care and persist in the face of evidence that they have not failed as no amount of training or education will change there conduct or behavior.
My grandad was always a great believer in honesty and accountability and would not suffer fools easily he would never back down if he could see something was wrong or unacceptable.
Grandad taught me that in life polite persistence and polite sarcasm can be powerful.
The only thing that I have had to learn myself is that sometimes it can take a very very long time.
Have a great Weekend
