Hi Folks
A few days ago I raised the Issue of deleted and unread emails from 2012 with Staffordshire County Council.
It was My perception that they had destroyed evidence specifically around the neglect of my grandfather.
I have received correspondence from them which states that the email address being used by the complaints department receives the emails from the public and then forwards them to individuals within the complaints department.
This then means that the email being received on that account does not get shown as being read.
Also that a automatic archive takes place every 2 years which clears the system and unfortunately due to a problem with a certain IT company's software issues an email to the sender advising them that their mail has been "deleted but not read".
Being from an IT background and having an understanding of both government and military mail systems this excuse could be feasible.
The council have ensured me that none of my emails stated have been deleted
Now here is the reason why the excuse does not work
Why did a mail program select certain emails within the timescale to report as deleted and unread and yet ignore others ?
Even more impressive is that this mail program can identify the difference between a Safeguarding email and a council criticism mail.
I know what I think of Complaints Management and the Biased attitudes at Staffordshire County Council what do you think ?
It is time for cultural change.
