At no time did the DWP or the Staffordshire County Council discuss this with grandad or any of the family.
The new appointee then delayed in paying care home invoices and failed to provide funds for him so the family provided. Not to much can be said at pressent as Solicitor involve.
We continued to pay his monthley fees and even out of our own pocket paid for a weeks care home fees although our grandfarthers monies had ceased to be paid to the familly.
We carried on buying him bottles of sherry soap and steridents and sundries we even topped us his wallet with cash as nothing was been added by Staffordshire County Councill. we replaced electric shavers and provided underwear and shirts and trowsers.
Every now and then when we visited a brown paper bag would be in his room with a few toilitries in when we asked the home we were informed that they did not know where they were from, The contents of these bags did not appear to have cost much money.
Care home continued to send the familly invoices as they had not being informed of any of the Councills actions.
We were advised to no longer make payments for him and let Staffordshire County Council provide this was hard to do as we had not seen any social worker from the January and was not even aware that he still had one.
That brings me to the latest in this stupidity.
Within the last week and a half I received A letter from the local Staffordshire Social Services stating that I should attend A meeting with them to explain my apparent overpayment of Atandance Allowance.
These had been discused between myself and the DWP already back in the December 2011.
I rang the social worker concerned to request as to what this letter was about and was informed that she was concerned about theft of public money.
I asked her what was happening about Ronalds money as they should have been making payments to him from the January 2011 and it was now Late May 2012 and all he had received was £40 in his wallet.
I was informed by her that I do not even visit my grandfarther and the carehome have backed this up also that she had spent over £100 on a razzor as the home stated that they had contacted me about the broken one this was true the carehome had informed me the razzor was broken but when I saw this razzor quickly put it back together nothing wrong with it.
I disscused with the lady about the other razzors,clothing that the home had received but she was not interested.
She demmanded that I attend the meeting I informed her that the only meeting we the family would attend is the same meeting that the Solicitor and our family required and that we wanted the key involved social workers there to explain there actions.
She then asked if I was reffusing to attend the meeting into theft of public money, I repeated above again and also that we had requested many meetings all reffused.
Then the threat The social worker stated that if i did not or reffused to attend she would contact the police with regard to theft.
Our phonecall got unfortunatly disconnected
Probably A good thing the family were being told that we dont care, dont visit, dont even buy him anything and steal from him.
Upon reveiw of this telephone call I have to state the following.
Not visiting Grandfarther Untrue Myself and family visit at least once a week.
Stealing Public Monies Already aware of minor overpayment discussed with DWP
Police Threat Myself and familly have already been investigated about this matter and have
been proven innocent, We have provided all evidence to the police.
The family Solicitor is looking into this.
So at last we are up to present day Staffordshire County Council forwarding my bankstatments with my details on to whoever wishes to see them. Staffordshire County Council Social workers making accusations that are untrue and making Threats and finally They work in hospitals that openly admit that wards are unsuitable and food is not suitable and they dont even notice.
We wait to see the outcome of a full investigation and then the involvement of the Social Workers Council and where the line of proffesional conduct has been crossed, that these unsuitable people be removed from this most important of carrers and can longer harm and damage familys and the person for which they should provide care.
