University Hospital of North Staffordshire & S-O-T Partnership Trust

The Ombudsman due to the lost medical notes apparently can do no more than issue an order to pay compensation to my grandfather of £500.

This means that as both trusts have misplaced all notes appertaining to his care this will add up to compensation of £1000.

My grandfather wishes lessons learned and this payout will be nothing more than a pittance given to a charity of our grandfathers wishes

I ask myself and the reader does this sound right the trust acknowledged that the food was unsuitable the ward was unsuitable, Charts both fluid and food not filled in.

A confused elderly man fitted with an unrequired inserted catheter for over a year and a half, and further suspected neglect and overuse of sedatives.

The Chief Executive Julia Bridgewater has now according to the Mirror "Quit" the post and the new Chief Executive a Mr Jim Birrell will take over on a new salary of £211,000 PA which equals £800.00 a day from this Monday.

The UHNS trust has a current deficit of 23 million pounds.

From our families experience Mrs Julia Bridgewater should be held to account for her trusts actions.

We should be proud of our NHS and our local hospitals but instead they are neglecting our elderly and should be held to account.

With all the current media frenzy around Stafford Hospital the limelight is being taken away from every other poor standard incidents from other trusts.

Will update tomorrow folk's as to the freedom of information requests and subject access requests as the 40 day deadline has now passed.

Next Staffordshire County Council

Enjoy the rest of your weekend
