Well as you can see its been A while since I updated you all.
It has been very quiet so here is an interesting update.
The Ombudsman has being trying to get paperwork for my Grandads care whilst he was an inpatient at both the University Hospital of North Staffordshire and under the Stoke-On-Trent Partnership Trust.
It appears that all medical notes and NHS paperwork that should be on his Medical Record are Completly Missing over the period of him being in 2 different hospitals and for the period of our own investigation !.
No record of any medical intervention or care of Our 92 year old Grandfarther.
The Ombudsman are not happy at all with this loss of medical notes.
Apparently all that the Ombudsman can do is fine each trust £500 for failing to protect documents
Do these people have absolutely no regard to the elderly.
This is not about money it is about accountability.
The family have politely informed the Ombudsman that they should go back to both trusts and inform them to find this important information.
Hopefully they will locate the missing information and hand it over to the ombudsman by Wednesday of next week if not we will have to try again to get the press interested.
So now we have to raise this failure to the Information Commissioners Office for them to investigate.
Its All fun not.....
On the good side Grandad doing well and it will be his birthday soon we just hope these matters will be resolved soon.
Its thick with Snow in Staffordshire so stuck at home
