Morning Bloggers
Well its twenty past six and its a new week.
Its been A long weekend, as Grandad is not to well, the home are recording all his intake again as he is not eating to much and is struggling to drink fluids.
Why is it that we have to suffer in old age.
When us young ones get a cold its the end of the world, Maybe when we feel off with a bit of back pain or Man flue we should spend a little time to understand what it must be like to be elderly and infirm.
Imagine how it must feel to still feel young of mind and in a body that holds you back struggling to walk and having to depend on others.
We are the lucky ones Grandad is in A good home with attentive and caring staff and has family who care and would give their own life to protect him and his rights.
I am concerned at present as I have seen this before only 2 years ago with a chest infection.
Hopefully with the medications and care he will get better soon.
On other issues the Health Ombudsmans decision regarding all the lost medical notes came over two working weeks ago and the finding were that both Trusts should have wrote to myself by Friday just gone.
No surprises not a thing its like yet another insult.
Will contact the Health Ombudsman tomorrow as they are both in breach of the conditions set down by the Health Ombudsman why am I not surprised.
Stick with me I am gona rant on some more "Oh God I here you cry, Does he ever shut up"
The ongoing saga into obtaining Social Care file and information from the Department for Work and Pensions.
I raised a Subject Access Request in early December 2012 for grandads Social Care File as we were concerned regarding false accounts and documentation contained in this important file.
I should have received a reply within 40 days, on Friday just gone I received a short letter from Staffordshire County Council / Stoke On Trent Partnership Trust after many months informing me that as Grandad had now just been assesed as lacking capacity this information can not be shared.
Have forwarded the letter to the ICO as they are currently reviewing this matter.
I am left with no other oppinion that these people abuse the Mental Cappacity Act to their own needs.
It can be difficult to clarify Mental Capacity but when you see for yourself how this can be abused it is a real eye opener.
Have made the decision to act on the information we already hold as to have grandad jumping through a bank of assesments is unfair and just cruel.
We requested from the DWP all telephone calls and transcripts between Staffordshire County Council and themselves regarding what the family still feel was inappropriate removal of appointee, the Council then failed to provide funds in an appropriate and timely manner and further issues.
The DWP have been found by the ICO to have breached the DPA 40 day deadline and have been ordered to respond to the request within 14 days this will be tomorrows post lol.
I have my Grandads tenacity if my dad had still been here he would be fighting for him but he passed away when I was a toddler.
I will not tolerate what I feel have been failings in the Care System and incompetency in Social Care.
