Staffordshire County Council Responsible Appointees ?

Hi Bloggers

Well it has been a few days since I raised the concern again about such a small amount of money in my grandfathers account which is administered by Staffordshire county council.

This is what the appointee (SCC) have been saying that they have been providing pocket monies as required by law for my granddads use.

This should be provided weekly for soap and wash products / sterident etc.

Over the last 2 years Staffordshire County Council have continually insisted that they have been providing this.

The care home have after 2 years of being asked finally admitted that my granddad is being provided for by scraping together other residents items.

This was stated in front of the county council appointee his present social worker.

Over the past 2 years my grandad via the family involvement has received about £170 of new clothes and 1 new pair of glasses and a shaver also feet chiropody about 3 times at £29.00, this should come out of his allowance.

He has haircuts but the family have usually paid for these and have not bothered to go begging for the money back.

So for example if granddad had received £21.00 over 102 weeks this would amount to £2142.00

at our recent review meeting it transpires that granddad has about £65.00 at the home available and a ten pound note in his wallet that has been there for over 6 weeks.

Over a year ago the family called in the Police and after the officer went to the home and then went to see the county council we got told by the police that nothing was wrong and that all accounts had been seen.

Call me a bit thick but if the home have always scraped items together for him which was stated recently, contradictory to what all previous social workers and the county council have stated.

Which now explains the occasional apparent mistaken requests from the home to provide items.

Where is all the missing money ?

Has the appointee got it ?

Has the home manager got it ?

Has it been provided by Staffordshire County Council ?

Has it been stolen ?

Where is the accountability in these people.

Then the next big question Why should my granddad be supplied with other peoples items this is just simply appalling.

Or is this theft of other residents items ?

My family think there are serious issues here and have always been there going back to Staffordshire County Councils underhand and inappropriate removal of appointee by fraudulent statement.

Have the council responded to this ?  No it has been 2 days now and nothing.

Will the Police do anything other than protect Staffordshire county council ? It appears that they probably wont.

There are many reasons why complaints get raised sometime people are just hacked off at the system and will not let a problem drop, these are habitual complainers.

Then in society there are people that can genuinely see a problem and failings, These people will raise a complaint and if the complaint is not acted on appropriately they will continue to complain.

The big problem at Staffordshire County Council is that they assume I am just trying to make life difficult for them, This is not and has never been my intention.

I just want to failings to be put right and vulnerable adults to be protected.

I would like to believe that I could trust a social worker to write and state the truth and not lie.

This is the sad state of our society people will lie to protect there own jobs and cover up for each others failings and lies.

Our NHS is on its Knees from lies and cover up and so are our county councils and its MPs.

A statement from a serving police officer "They pay our wages".

A statements from an ex employee from Staffordshire County Council "You do as you are told from above and if that requires covering up for another member of staff you do it".

And to cap it all off I was recently on a train travelling back from London and on the seat behind me were 2 social workers.

I have good hearing and as I had forgot my I pod I Listened in on the conversation.

They were having a discussion about a case review that involved a young child.

Social worker "A" was saying how she had not had time to follow up a referral that had been given to her by a concerned foster parent.

This involved a child who could have possibly been at risk of being molested.

The Social Worker stated that she had so much case load that she could not possibly have had the time to follow the situation up so she had ignored it.

It had now transpired that a complaint had been raised and that paperwork that she had was required for an investigation and she was concerned as to how the situation would look.

Social Worker "B" came up with a solution and simply suggested just lose the paperwork.

Social Worker "A" said "Oh I could do that it will make things more difficult to get the answers and bide me sometime".

It is becoming more apparent to me daily that I wish I had never found out what a corrupt and underhand country we live in with its lies and there will be no change any time soon.

Will update you all soon if the County Council want to be transparent lol or just sit and use the data protection act to hide behind.
