Hi Bloggers
It has been an eventful week and the effort appears to be coming to a possible sensible conclusion.
All we have ever wanted was to be listened to and physical evidence looked at and acted with
accordingly.
The Information Commissioner has made his findings regarding the data protection act and has stated
that the Trust have complied with the Act.
This finding by the ICO is confusing my Grandfather has given multiple statements and signed authority
prior to his unfortunate current state of health however the most recent capacity assessment has allowed
any previous authority to be revoked,
I will be contacting the ICO and the PHSO on Monday morning for clarification on signed authorities.
The Social care file belonging to my grandfather will probably never see the light of day, So it appears
that we can only work with what we have which hopefully should be enough to prove at the upcoming
meeting.
Yes the Chief Executive Officer is willing to review the issues that have been ignored for so long.
Hopefully this is the man that after this meeting is finally going to act on these serious issues so that our
family can have our faith restored in the profession of adult social care.
The ICO findings have raised yet further information regarding the individuals actions that we were not
aware of and we will look for clarification of this new information at Mondays meeting.
The ICO were further asked regarding all my grandfathers medical notes being missing, The trust have
informed the ICO that they are not aware of any missing data however the trust have been already found
to have lost all the old fellas notes by the Heath Service Ombudsman.
I can only assume that his medical notes whilst in the trusts care have now been found and this is very
good news and if these have been found, or never lost the PHSO should now be able to review the
failings in his care.
Hopefully this Monday will be the start of some common sense and if the CEO is genuinely interested in
resolving these many issues and carrying out a proper and full investigation based on fact there will be no updates until his completion and findings and all previous individuals named will be removed from public
view.
Kind Regards
Steve
