The statements I have made are untrue ?

Hi Folks..

I have today received a letter from the trust in which they refer to my twitter and blog comments of the 16th July and the 3rd August.

There has been no specific comment regarding my statements on these dates.

However the letter shows a commitment by the trust to review any of the data that I further provide to them.

The trust refer to the Legacy of complaints between myself and the Staffordshire County Council and state that in conclusion that the Stoke on Trent Partnership Trust and Staffordshire County Council have acted appropriately and professionally in the care of my grandfather.

lets look at this in detail.

Countless requests for a meeting to take place ignored and refused multiple times by both parties.

When my grandfarther was neglected whilst in the care of the Stoke on Trent Partnership it was confirmed by staff at the trusts hospital that he had not received suitable phisio gained bedsores and delivered home dirty unshaven and in a state of undress and unable to walk with a home prescription for high dose in excess of 300mg of codeine phosphate causing the old man to be in a vegetative state.

At the point of his return home his Social Worker went off on holiday and left us with no contact details or even support.

He became dehydrated whilst in the care of the Trust and was moved as an emergency to the University Hospital.

Many further failing in his care at this trust and the University Hospital of North staffordshire have been fully acknowledged inclusive of unsuitable food, unsuitable ward, by individual staff members of both trusts.

He was failed by the trust which did not act appropriately or professionally with his care.

All the above issues have been raised with the Stoke on Trent Partnership multiple times and referred to the Health Service Ombudsman.

And back to Professional conduct .

The Health Service Ombudsman can not investigate any of the issues surrounding his care as the Trust have lost all the notes.

It has taken Twitter and Blogger to get a senior CEO to be concerned with this issue as all previous attempts to raise this have been ignored by both the trust and the county council for in excess of two years.

There has never been any more than three key issues.

The care afforded to my grandfarther

The failure to listen to a genuine complaint based on full evidence.

The Conduct and attitudes of individual social workers.

Where we review Social Care it was witnessed by the family that grandad was being dressed in oversize trousers and his personal items were not being provided in fact multiple safety issues had been noticed at the care home.

His social worker at the time refused to attend the care home to review the care homes actions so the family and the home directly resolved the issues with no support from adult social care.

The Stoke on Trent Partnership have also been reviewing my statements regarding individual social workers and have expressed concerns that.

The statements I have made are untrue.

And are without basis.

They are Distressing.

Potentially Defamatory.

The Stoke on Trent Partnership have requested removal of my remarks, unfortunately the failure by the County Council to accept any form of complaint regarding the individuals and the extended time taken for either party to hold a simple meeting to gain all the evidence that has been offered many times.

This information will not be removed as it is in the Public Interest that the actions of the individuals should be investigated to uphold the public trust in the profession.

Have a Good Weekend

Steve
