The last 24 hours have not been so good for grandad and things are not so good at present.
On Sunday I thought he was looking well apart from a little dehydration and a tired however in the early hours of monday morning he became very ill and is currently in bed.
The doctor came out today and says he is dehydrated and has a chest infection.
He has been prescribed some antibiotics and will be reviewed tomorrow.
The last time I saw him like this was about three years ago now when he was suffering from a previous infection and I am very worried.
Tonight will be a long night and I hope that he can sleep well.
I have been informed that if we cannot see an improvement in his condition by tomorrow he will need acute medical intervention.
Do I blame the home for his dehydration, No it is his choice and always has been.
I will not be raising frivolous and inappropriate VA requests
I can only hope that his wishes come true,
This afternoon I spent some time with him held his hand whilst he was asleep as I could not wake him,
I kissed him and told him I love him.
It is in the hand of god.
I rang the home at 10 pm this evening gone and was told that there had been no change.
Sleep tight my tired old fella xx
