It has been a long week where
The CEO Mr Poynor has indeed listened to my families concerns and is actively looking at the concerns raised. ( Please read update at foot of page )
The family have been informed of the need to report the individuals to the police under the Harassment Act.
This sounded crazy but upon reflection of the individuals conduct both verbal and none verbal including the threats, This does appear to be the only way forward.
At the hands of these individuals I felt harassed,at risk and distressed.
There is no word to list my concerns for both the elderly or there families around these individuals.
I have contacted the police with regard to the harassment and the continual protection being afforded to these individuals.
The officer from Staffordshire Police can not understand how we can show all the evidence we hold including the recent acknowledgment around specific events recorded being false and inaccurate.
The Officer has shown concern that this matter has gone so far without result and that all we required were answers.
He was surprised at a lot of the information that was being provided and shown to him in hard copy.
Our main fear has always been the failure for the county council to be transparent however when it comes to reporting incidents there is no excuse for inventing information or lies.
Lies and false data fails the Vulnerable Adult and causes distress to families and friends
I am a reasonable person and I know you never get all the answers however I will not cease until the individuals concerned are disciplined for there actions.
Then on to M.A.S.H not hot potato, This is a hub where all agencies should work together for the protection of any vulnerable person.
Hopefully a meeting can take place where Staffordshire County Council can answer to the questions that matter and explain how these serious failings can be ignored.
"Staffordshire is one of the most developed hubs and is being further advanced by partner agencies in Staffordshire, including Staffordshire County Council, Stoke-on-Trent City Council, Staffordshire Police and Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent NHS Partnership Trust . It involves the co-location of agencies working as one team towards a common goal."
Our family is fully committed to gain criminal charges against those responsible.
Since this post was published
The police have decided that the as we are in apparent communication with staffordshire county council that they do not need to intervene regarding our criminal harassment complaint and that this was the end of the matter.
The hope of any meeting with the MASH team is off the table, this is a shame.
Staffordshire county council have not acted when they were provided with the information concerning the direct threatening conduct and have never communicated on this issue.
I have advised staffordshire police that for now we will have to leave this matter with them.
After a meeting today with the CEO of the Trust, I have been reassured by the CEO that a full review of the situation is in place and currently under way.
It is only fair that the full information is reviewed and proved prior to any action to any individual.
I have also today apologized to Mr Poynor in person due to my own personal frustration at the timescale of these matters being resolved and I have removed my item at the top of this page regarding trusting people to there word.
Mr Poynor further today was very accommodating and even gave up his lunch to allay any fears that I held in respect of his continued commitment to looking into our concerns.
It is a shame that Staffordshire County Council could not provide the courtesy or transparency that Mr Poynor is providing.
