Public Accountability and the LGO Update

Hi Bloggers

The Local Government Ombudsman has quashed the decision made as it was not out of time and further not based on the information in my complaint.

They have further removed the publication of the findings from there website

This is fantastic news that eventually the full extent of the county councils actions may be bought into the public domain and that finally some truth and accountability may be forthcoming.

I would like to thank the LGO for there sensible decision in this matter.

Have a great day folk's

This post below was originally posted on the 3rd October 2013.

Yesterday I contacted the Local Government Ombudsman regarding there decision to not carry out an investigation into the conduct of Staffordshire County Council.

I have received a telephone call this morning in which the lady from the ombudsman states that a review has been carried out into there decision and that I cannot request any further.

It has been made very clear to the LGO that the county council have threatened / harassed and deliberately ignored a genuine complaint.

The LGO have stated that the Complaint was out of time and that A substantial independent investigation had been carried out.

Our family can prove without any doubt that the 63 page report was compromised by lies and malicious information.

The LGO goes further to state that I was unhappy with the county council decision to undertake a vulnerable adult investigation this is simply not true.

Where there is a genuine risk to an individual then an investigation should take place

Our concern was that little to no investigation had taken place

This is the official published report findings from the LGO.
