Hi Folk's
I Have been asked to join an independent complaints review panel for the Stoke on Trent Partnership NHS trust and I have accepted.
If one good thing comes out of this family disaster is that my own and Grandads experience could help to shape the future of local complaints management.
All that I hope and pray is that the county council would take an example from this trust and actively learn from its failings.
The lesson for all of us is that A persistent constructive complaint attitude will get a result eventually and that if you see something that is wrong no matter how much resistance and broken promises you get, just keep insisting to be heard.
The worst thing that any complaint department can do is ignore a genuine complainant and I know only to well the distress and personal damage this can cause, Not only just to the complainant but also the organization when exposed.
We all at times need to look at ourselves and how we deal with situations if we make promises we should try to deliver.
We are all human if we make mistakes we should admit this and be accountable for our actions or omissions when we fail.
It is all very well to say lets forget our past actions just focus on the future, people need closure before they can move on.
On a lighter note I found an artical on this old bloke and it is priceless Herbert Sukenik.
Will I be like this in old age lol.
“Herbert Sukenik's profile was a nightmare. “Hugely intelligent, a PhD, unmarried, embittered, a loner, disconnected from society and too smart for his own good. He was not a poor man; he had independent means.”

Let me know your thoughts folk's and sleep tight.....
