Hi Folkes
The Wheels of Justice are moving slow but they are moving.
It is now one more week on from when the decision should have been made regarding Staffordshire County Council.
On the advice of my GP I contacted the LGO for an update this Thursday just gone.
The Lady at the LGO has always made herself available to contact by phone however she states that she has had to yet again go back to the county council for clarity on some issues and that hopefully she will be in a position to make her findings by the beginning of next week.
Hopefully when this decision is made it will go someway to gaining answers so that the public can be protected and that some Justice will can be seen for the Neglect of my Late Grandfather and the hell that Staffordshire County Council have personally put me through.
As you folk may know I have been giving my time to help the Stoke on Trent Partnership Trust in their Complaints Panel Reviews.
Not only does this allows the review of complaints management within this trust it also allows me to play devils advocate for the general public at meetings lol.
The Process undertaken by the Trust makes it clear that the organization takes complaints and handles them both professionally and investigates in depth, This is good news in these post Mid Staffs Scandal days.
The Trusts commitment to be honest is without doubt however we still have some way in Transparency of outcomes.
These Meetings are not just helping the public and the trust they are also helping me to regain my self belief after these many difficult years of ignorance and abuse from the County Council.
Before agreeing to help at the Independent Complaints Review Panel I found it difficult to interact or involve myself with others as i felt intimidated at all times.
It is very surprising what damage others can do to you directly by there actions and failings,The destruction that can be caused to your character and self belief can be substantial even to the point of causing severe anxiety and depression to the individual.
I am getting and feeling much better as each month goes by all I want now is a full accountable end to this incompetence then I should finally be able to get of the Anti Depressants and allow my life to move forward.
Next Week I will be at the monthly ICRP with the trust where we have 2 new complaints to review so I will update you all on Tuesday next week with what we reviewed and what thoughts and comments were raised.
I am also pleased to also share with you all that on Monday the 18th I have been invited to the SSOTP Social Care Pathway Meeting.
I am looking forward to hearing others views in the meeting as well as hopefully sharing my own experience of Adult Social Care support for the Client and their carers.
At least there is lots going on next week to stop me from pondering the long awaited outcome from the LGO.
Remember folks if we want change we have to make our experiences and voice heard, If you have some spare time to donate and you feel you have the experience to share then please do so.
Hope you are all keeping well
