Well its early August 2014 and 3 years on after much persuasion and pushing Staffordshire County Council, The LGO, ICO and the NHS
Over recent weeks I have been pushing A Mr Alan White at the council to look into why they appeared to be not engaging with the LGO in a timely manner.
The county council have finally after much delay answered the LGOs further questions.
It is all like fighting a war on a field by field basis, 1 step forward and 2 back.
The Local Government Ombudsman will review the case on or around the 11th of August.
Hopefully they will lay bare the conduct of the county council and the actions and omissions in professional conduct.
When this outcome is in then final matters can be instigated in gaining a full and proper conclusion.
This will include hopefully a meeting with Mathew Ellis police and crime commissioner to see if he is going to investigate the figure in excess of £1000.00 unaccounted for or the fact that Social Work staff can conduct themselves in a threatening manner towards members of the public, At present the police are not interested.
Further to this a meeting will be requested with Mr Stuart Poynor and Mr Alan White to review the findings and how the County Council could handle its conduct better in future when it comes to integrated services.
I am not even going to bother with any further contact with my local MP Paul Farrily as he has shown little to no interest in the concerns of our family or my grandads neglect.
The County Council will be shown for its lack of accountability & transparency and failure to Safeguard a vulnerable adult.
All findings will be made available when this case is eventually wrapped up, this will be my way of leaving for the future a full range of paper based evidence to show the extent I have had to go to gain answers.
I would not wish this situation to happen to anyone or there loved ones ever again.
This should serve as a lesson to those who wish to be ignorant to adult safeguarding and that attempting to cover up failure will simply not work.
The Staffordshire County Council will be the purveyor of it own downfall in this matter.
There can be no further excusses.
