Hi Bloggers further to the original publication of this blog, All information regarding this social worker and Staffordshire County Council in this case has been removed from the HCPC website however the registrant is still listed as a social worker within staffordshire county council.

The Final Hearing date has been removed from the HCPC Diary as well as any reference to the Registrant.

Make of this what you will.

I will be contacting the HCPC regarding this registrant for the outcome of the case as this is in the Public Interest.

During the course of your employment as a Band 7 Social Worker with North Staffordshire
Combined Healthcare NHS Trust between 25
October 2008 – 12 December 2012, you:
1. Did not maintain complete and accurate service user records;
2. Did not conduct and/or complete modular risk assessments for your allocated service users;
3. Did not review existing risk assessments for your allocated service users;
4. Did not conduct and/or complete “staying well” plans for your allocated service users;
5. In relation to Service User A, between 3 March 2011 – 23 December 2011, you:
(i) did not keep full and accurate records;
(ii) did not have significant contact with the service user’s mother;
(iii) did not provide the service user’s family with a contact number;
(iv) did not conduct and/or complete a Safety and Crisis Plan;
6. In relation to Service User B, you;
(i) said to the service user’s brother that “in these type of places someone’s got to be someone’s bitch” or words to that effect;
(ii) did not keep full and accurate records;
(iii) did not have significant contact with Service User B's family;
(iv) did not conduct and/or complete a "staying well" plan;
(v) did not adequately update the risk assessment;
(vi) did not consider the Vulnerable Adults Policy or
Safeguarding concerns when assessing Service User B’s vulnerability;
7. In or around October or November 2011, you made inappropriate comments to a junior member of staff during a meeting with a serviceuser in that you said;
(i) "You have met her now isn’t she lovely, she is lovely now, isn’t she lovely” or words to that effect; and
(ii) “I love your shoes, are you wearing tights or stockings” or words to that effect;
8. On 4 November 2011, you made inappropriate comments to a juniormember of staff in an email in which you wrote “hello P, what a lovely name. Is it Gaelic? Yes no problem with X, I can sort that. Youare tall”;
9. The matters outlined at paragraphs 1-6 constitute misconduct and/or lack of competence;
10. The matters outlined at paragraphs 7 and 8 constitute misconduct;
11. By reason of that misconduct and/or lack of competence, your fitness to practise is impaired.
