Hi Folkes
First the good news is that today I have been contacted by the BBC who wish to produce a program into how county councils are providing a safe and supportive environment to the elderly and their carers.
The brief is that in this present climate of NHS Scandals the county councils in the same areas are acting in a similar manner when it comes to being Transparent and Accountable.
I have told them that I am more than willing to share with them my experience and to be interviewed on the program.
Also today I came across guidance on protecting vulnerable adults issued by the government in 2000 and I ask myself why the complete failure to protect my grandads needs and safety could take place over 10 years later.
My view on No Secrets should also include No Lies and Fabrication.
The communication that should have taken place between all the agencies involved was chaotic to none existent with basic situations being misreported and left unvalidated.
I am as committed as ever to see the Cultural Change that is slowly coming to in the NHS should also be taking place in our County Council in Staffordshire.
