Staffordshire County Council Biased Investigations

Hi Folkes

It has been over 10 days since I last updated you all on what is going on, so today I am going to update you somewhat as to where things are and my feelings on this.

The financial provision for Grandad when he was alive was poor with much of the funds provided to his care home for welfare not being spent on him, The bulk of this money is gone.

The home say that they have purchased no every day items for him.

Staffordshire County Council insist that all monies provided to the care home by them can be accounted for.

I am left with the only conclusion that these monies have either been stolen by a social worker or the home itself.

A care home manager was found guilty of theft whilst employed in elderly care in liverpool and prior to the court case had been employed by my grandfathers home as its new manager.

When the court made its judgment the manager was jailed for the theft in Liverpool.

The home were not aware of her pending court appearance.

I have always been aware to the neglect by Staffordshire social care to my grandad, I raised concerns regarding his safety and welfare and nothing was ever done.

When Safeguarding issues were raised the local Social Care Team would not even attend a meeting at the care home, as they were to busy demonizing myself with their incessant and unnecessary which hunt.

When my Grandad was confused due to medication and raised what he thought was a genuine concern his hospital social worker should have carried out a full and proper Vulnerable Adult Investigation however she could not be bothered.

When Staffordshire County Council were requested to carry out a full Independent Investigation the result was a drawn out waste of public monies on a Biased outcome in favor of the County Council.

I have written to the writer of this report in the last few days asking for her comments on all the recent findings that show clearly that the report was nothing more than a cover up.

In this letter I have further asked the report writer as to how much intervention the County Council had in the final outcomes.

As yet I have received no reply.

So the reader is probably asking what about the money for his care, well this is the big problem for me along with the neglect.

The police have been informed about this at all points over the past 2 and a half years and yet no crime number is ever issued and the issues raised with the police are handed straight back to Staffordshire County Council.

My conclusions are that if you are elderly or at risk of neglect or abuse in Staffordshire and have no family left to protect your interests then your social worker may just rush a Vulnerable Adult Investigation where nothing gets checked or looked into or simply will not carry one out.

Now all matters are coming to a head, the CQC have carried out a review of the care home and the provision for the elderly when it comes to pocket monies, I am pleased to report that when checked the CQC found no present ongoing issues of financial provision at the home.

The CQC have advised me that Adult Safeguarding is the responsibility of the county council and is not there remit so no hope with accountability there then.

The LGO after initially finding nothing wrong lol did quash their initial decision and assure me that this is now being taken seriously only time will tell.

The Staffordshire and Stoke Partnership Trust have become involved in the case and have assured me that disciplinary is taking place however they can not inform me of the outcome of a disiplinary.

I will not rest until the staff who ignored my Grandads safety are reported to the HCPC for their failings.

It is so annoying when you raise a genuine complaint that includes gross misconduct of staff and yet you get no feedback as to what form of action has been taken.

It makes me feel so sad that there exists a structure where organizations can interlink between themselves to cover failings.

These Quangos like the CQC who hold no bite to protect Vulnerable Adults

The LGO who hold no legal power to make County Councils learn from mistakes.

We unfortunately live in a country where culture change is way overdue.
