Looking towards the future, Lip Service Lies & PR

Hi Folks

As the reader has probably already worked out, I can be very persistent when it comes to injustice.

The sad fact however in life we must know when to just simply move on.

The past few years have been a living nightmare with lies from the Staffordshire County Council and the Stoke on Trent Partnership employees and its service providers such as Archangel Care Limited.

Throughout the complaints process with the County Council the Complaints Procedure and the conduct shown by Mrs K Bullivant was at all times either inconsistent or to ignore and delay.

Further the County Council when made aware on many occasions that my late grandfather was at risk, Ignored requests by the family to attend meetings.

Over the many years that invented risk situations had apparently been identified, No action was properly taken to Safeguard in any form My Grandads Health or Financial situation.

As for when the complaint was handed over to the Stoke on Trent Partnership the same happened yet again.

A complete wall of silence and no communication.

It was only when faced with a Twitter Tweet apparently advising of how open and transparent the trust was that I decided to directly Tweet to the CEO Mr Stuart Poynor.

Despite all the previous experience I thought finnaly there would be some sensible accountability and there would be a way for all to learn and move forward.

Mr Poynor instructed his head of Social Care to review the contents of my late grandads social care file.

It was found that we had been left with no social care provision and that serious information regarding Vulnerable Adult Investigations was missing.

The findings have not been provided in writing but many apologies given, I supose that is more than either me or grandad got from Staffordshire CC.

Mr Poynor further initiated a review into the spending by social workers and the management of my grandfathers monies by the County Council.

This highlighted massive failings in accountability and receipt recording of my Grandfathers accounts and other Vulnerable Adults whose finances were being handled by the CC.

I have tried now for many weeks without no reply to directly communicate with either Mr Poynor or PA.

I have further raised a new complaint regarding my recent request for this written report and the complete breakdown in communication from the Trust yet again.

Despite the trusts website stating that the complainant will receive acknowledgement within 3 Days I am yet to receive any communication.

I must be considered a Persistent Complainer lol.

One day soon there will be another Mid staffs hospital calamity and the CEOs will yet again go giving lip service regarding Culture Change and Transparency / Accountability.

The sad reality is, these people know where the failings are but do nothing more than PR to cover up and make the complainant just go away.

No Lessons Learnt.

Steve
