Hi Folks
I hope your Christmas Shopping is going well and the usual plethora of cards are arriving through your letter boxes.
Remember to get all your cards filled in and posted as we all know how the post can get at Christmas.
As for me I live in a very close knit residential area of people who all know each other so plenty of cards to write for me.
So apart from writing out the odd card all my gifts are bought and wrapped.
In other news the trust have wrote to me not to acknowledge the complaint against them but to put me in my place as they feel that they have been sympathetic and understanding of my situation and they are not happy that I have apparently questioned the integrity of there staff.
I was not aware that I had questioned any individuals integrity at all and that I had only pointed out where individuals were not willing to reply to email or contact.
It is also true that the trust had been sympathetic and understanding to the situation however the failure to be transparent when it comes to fully documenting the findings so that culture change can happen.
The simple question being asked of the trust is to put down in writing fully what had been uncovered by there own investigation & to explain why when this was requested all communication with myself ceased.
In this letter from the trust I was advised that Staffordshire County Council had appologised to me, You could imagine my surprise as I knew nothing about any appology from them at all either past or present.
The letter provided by the trust has been forwarded to the Public Health Service Ombudsman as the trusts reply to my request for a complaint to be accepted.
The sad fact about the letters content was that it appeared that the Trust were writing on behalf of the County Council in its reply to me.
I would like to share this letter with you however the Trust have watermarked it with Private & Confidential so for now it must go first to the ombudsman however my reply will be available in my next blog
I can only concede that the attitude of ignorance which exists within Staffordshire County Council extends well inside the Stoke on Trent Partnership as I can no longer see where the line exists within these two seperate organisations.
For my own mindset the Trust and County Council should have been 2 seperate organisations however it apears that I may be wrong.
So a Simple Question "How can we ever achive Culture Change in the NHS if County Councils do not want transparency or openess or culture change.
So forget all the partnership tosh with the county councils the only gain I can see is the protection and shoving under the carpet of multiple failings here in staffordshire.
So folks thats my rant over for this year and I will keep you updated on progress in the New Year
